June 23 2024: Access to six prisoners was revoked in late 2022 due to a Ministerial matter. Those six prisoners have since been released from the facility that they were serving their time at. We have restored contact with four remaining prisoners thanks to a Senate inquiry into a resigned Department Head. The four remaining prisoners are nearing parole for the crimes that they committed. They have almost served their penance, and according to the Warden, “they are still loving their Metal and look forward to sending us in some letters about the music.”

Our liaison point within the prison literary program is seeking six new prisoners, all of which will need to meet the profile of the program: killers that committed an act with moral ambiguity. There are cases where moral principles and values collide or conflict with each other, which can lead to a moral dilemma. It is these types of crimes that the program is funded for.
